Terrible bolt! Won’t load/chamber properly!

Christensen Arms’s quality control has gone downhill over the last few years. They used to be the industry leader, now they are 4th or 5th pick at best. I have purchased two visually at FT rifles. One being a 300 PRC. The other is 6.5 PRC. Both rifles and bolt/barrel issues. The 300 PRC will not chamber a load properly. My understanding is the extractor is bad. I believe there’s also an issue with the barrel not allowing bullet to seat properly. Christiansen has had my rifle for several months now, and I received no back from them. Not the type of customer service I expected for that price range. My 6.5 PRC was sent back to Christiansen’s two weeks ago. Same issues, different caliber. I called Christensen more than 10 times. I was only able to reach a live person once after dialing number for a dealer. They will not talk to customers. The Christiansen employee tried to blame Hornady ammunition for the issues I was having. I purchased eight additional boxes of ammunition. Between six and nine shells from each box would not chamber in the rifle. I called Hornady. They ran with lot numbers to see if there were any problems with the ammunition. None reported. I had to strip down both guns and send them back to Christiansen‘s. Have not heard a word from them since. They’ve had it for several months. Shame on you! I’ve missed out on a beer hunt of British Columbia and outcome in Utah and a deer hunt in Utah without those rifles. I hope this review helps. If I were you, I would save your money and look at a Feirce Firearm or Bergara.

Rifle lacks Quality Control

I purchased a 300 PRC Ridgeline FFT and have had several issues with the bolt. It’s bad! Won’t chamber the cartridge properly. Have only put 8 rounds through it. Sucks bad! Jammed on me in the field. Customer service sucks bad at Christensen Arms. Can’t ever speak to a real person. Christensen has my rifle now and has had it several months now. I’ve missed a bear hunt, elk and deer hunt with that rifle. Ridiculous. Save your money and buy a different brand. fierce, Tikka or Bergara.

Defective Bolt/retractor! Better Rifles out there!

I purchased the 300 PRC Ridgeline FFT carbine barrel. I have had problems with the rifle from the very first time I used it. The bolt and or retractor is defective and does not allow the cartridge to chamber properly. The bolt will not fully close with a cartridge in the chamber. I am shooting the Hornady precision ELD-X ammo used and recommended by Christensen Arms. I have been able to shoot the rifle maybe 6 to 8 shells at the most. I have called Christiansen Arms more than 10 times and they blamed Hornady. I called Hornady and they checked the ammo lots and confirmed no issues. I purchased another 6 boxes of shells, same problem. What do you know- IT’S THE RIFLE! I’ve only been able to speak with a live person once. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen with a high-end company! Only option is to strip the rifle down, send back to Christensen and wait. They have had a rifle for several months now still no resolution and no word from Christensen. I’ve missed out using the rifle on a Bear hunt in BC, Canada, elk hunt in Utah and a deer hunt in Utah! Nice product and service Christensen Arms! Buy a Fierce, Tikka or Bergara!

Perfect Mountain Rifle

Love the balance of the rifle and its extreme lightweight. Also shoots great. I have shown it off enough that my brother and my son in law both have one now too.

Barrel
The Ridgeline FFT features a 416R stainless steel barrel meticulously wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber—designed to be both ultralight and exceptionally accurate. It’s button-rifled, hand-lapped for premium consistency, free-floated for optimal harmonics, and match-chambered. Standard threading is 5/8-24, with a 1/2-28 option available for calibers like the .22-250. A removable stainless-steel side-baffle muzzle brake comes standard.
Stock
Built with Christensen Arms' exclusive Flash Forged Technology (FFT), the carbon fiber Sporter FFT stock is ultra-light yet robust. It delivers rigidity and balance thanks to its compression-molded monocoque shell, carbon fiber bedding pillars, spot bedding, and integrated recoil pad.
Action
The action is precision-machined from steel on the trusted Remington 700 footprint. It features a spiral-fluted, dual-lug bolt with an enlarged aluminum bolt knob, improved bolt release, and enlarged ejection port. It’s topped with a TriggerTech® trigger and a standard Rem 700 optics base interface. The rifle feeds from an internal magazine with aluminum hinged floor plate and accepts AICS-style detachable magazines with an aftermarket conversion kit.
