Far better than expected
I purchased two CA Mesa rifles in 6.5 CM on the recommendation of a friend. Unfortunately, social media nearly got me!!!!!! I read some poor reviews about accuracy and nearly sold my Mesa rifles before I even shot them. THANK GOD, I took them to the range first!!! I followed the break in procedure as prescribed by Christensen Arms. Both of rifles could not have been more accurate............they both shot sub-moa at 100 yards. The bullets ALL were through the same hole. I don't think I own any rifles that could outshoot these rifles. Love them. Highly recommended to purchase
Highly Accurate, Lightweight, but very stiff and feeding isn't perfect.
I bought this in 7mm PRC and took it through the mountains for 5 days on a bear hunt. It is very light, very accurate, great trigger (single stage took a little getting used to), but the only issue was the bolt was heavvyyyy - even after 100+ rounds through it at the range and many more dry cycling attempts. It isn't the end of the world, but if I had to take a fast follow up shot it might have made things more difficult to track the animal. Feeding has been 98% but have had 2 or 3 instances where something sticks - this is with Hornady eld x. I think the ammo plate is too tight for 7mm PRC to feed properly when full - it is only ever the first round. But, overall, for the price it is a great rifle and the most important things are light and accurate!
Excellent. Will continue purchasing
I have a ridgeline in 308. Mesa in a 6.5prc. My dad has a 22 Creemoor evoke. A 280ai ridgeline. And a 7mm backcountry ridgeline. I give them 10/10. I’ve only stretched them to 400 and they are shooters these guys know how to build rifles. Won’t buy anything but Christensen from now on
United Statesgreat firearm
Purchased this model in 6.5 PRC, couldn't be happier. Performs flawlessly, and consistently produces cloverleaf patterns at the range. In the field, it is a joy to carry, easily shoulders, and points effortlessly. The action is butter smooth, and cycles rounds with ease.
United StatesExcellent lightweight hunting rifle
I got this rifle for my wife chambered in 6.5 CM. It is my favorite rifle to carry in the mountains and absolutely shoots sub MOA with the right ammo. The barrel is high quality and shoots faster velocities compared to other quality barrels of the same length. It shoots almost the same velocity as other quality barrels that are 22in and what I would consider fast barrels for their length. The action is tough and cycles smoothly and the trigger is quality and breaks nice and crisp. My wife has taken 2 mule deer with it and has nicknamed it "Cali" because she loves it so much. I am planning to buy another Christensen rifle due to my experience with this gun.
