I have not fired the gun with this on it. The thread protector has a larger outer diameter than the barrel of my 223 Rem MPR. The color does not match and was not an option to buy other than the natural finish. Once I fire the rifle I will be able to see how well this works on this sub moa gun that I am currently able to achieve with the muzzle brake on the gun..

This will work but does the color does not match the barrel and the OD for this 1/2x28 thread protector is significantly larger than the barrel of my 223 MPR. I am concerned over changing the harmonic balance on the barrel????
