USSide Baffle Brake vs. Thread Protector
I wanted to know if my Ridgeline FFT shot differently when replacing the Side Baffle Brake with the Thread Protector, comparing two different loads/bullets: 1. Accuracy: 3 shot groups at 100 yards were almost identical with both loads. 2. Velocity: Average velocity was slightly higher with the Thread Protector, but less than 75 fps. 3. Point of Impact: With the Tread Protector, both loads shot about 2 inches higher vs. with the Side Baffle Brake. 4. Felt Recoil was notably higher with the Thread Protector. Conclusion: Re-zero when switching back and forth, then go hunting.
